This study was conducted on govermnent office employees of Habru Woreda. Its majorrnpurpose was to assess the causal attributions and attitudes of employees towards womenrnas leaders. To this effect, a structured questionnaire was administered to 204 governmentrnoffice employees. To supplement the quantitative data gathered via questionnaire,rnFocused Group Discussion was held with nine employees of different sector offices, whornwere not participated in the final sample.rnThe quantitative data were analyzed using percentage, mean, t-test, and one-wayrnANOVA. The information obtained from focused group discussion was al so summarizedrnqualitatively.rnResults show that employees have positive attitude towards women as leaders and thernreasons were that women: have multidimensional personality, are more tactic full thanrnmen, approach workers as their family members, can create peaceful work environmentrnand women are not susceptible for corruption, they are honest.rnFurthermore, t-test of this study reveals that the magnitude of women's attitude towardsrn'women as leaders' was greater than men's attitude.rnOn the other hand, one-way ANOV A revealed that employees' education and salary hadrnno significant effect on their attitude towards women as leaders.rnFinally conclusions and recommendations were made on the basis of the research result.
