The purpose of this study was to investigate the utilization of curriculumrnevaluation results to improve primary school text booles in OromiyarnRegional State. Data for this study was collected from seven OromiyarnEducation Bureau Curriculum Development Department Experts and thernhead, Primary Education Supervisors of six Oromiya zones' EducationrnDepartments, ICDR and NOE experts. The research instruments involvedrnwere questionnaire, structured interview, document analysis and focusedrngroup discussion. The instruments were prepared and colleagues and myrnadvisor commented on them and improvements were made. Thernquestionnaire was prepared for OEB textbooles developers and zonernEducation Department Primary Schools' Supervisors, while the interviewrnitems were prepared for ICDR, NOE, OEB and Zone Education Departmentrnexperts. As soon as the instruments were improved, OEB textboolerndevelopers and the department head gave their responses for both of therninstruments. Then, four ICDR experts and NOE research section head wererninterviewed. Focused group discussions were conducted with DedornPrimary School teachers in Jimma Zone and Gore 04 Primary School inrnfllubabor zone. Finally six supervisors of different zone educationrndepartments gave their responses for the questionnaire. This data havernbeen organized, analyzed and interpreted using simple percentagern(qualitative and quantitative approach). The findings indicate thatrnOromiya Regional State Education Bureau utilized curriculum evaluationrnresults of ICDR and its own evaluation results at different level to improvernprimary Schools' textbooles, but not that of researches made atrnuniversities, NOE and at zone Education Departments.
