Coccidia infections in poultry are prevalent and causes significant economic losses in Ethiopia, prenous studies did not attempt to substantially assessment of economic losses due tococcidiosis.this study was designed to determine the prevalence of poultry coccidiosis . Identify species of coccidia, examine pathological changes associated with coccidia infection and assess the economic impact of the disease in small scale and large scale poultry farms in rnUrban and peri-urban areas of Ethiopia. The study population consisted of broiler and layerrnChicken in 26 poultry farms. They included 5 large scale broiler farms. 2 large scale layer farmsrnWith deep litter rearing system .4 large scale layer farms with cage rearing. 12 small scale broiler farms and 3 small scale pullet rearing farms both with deep litter rearing systems.
