Job Position: Program Manager

Job Responsibilities:
As the Program Manager, you will provide technical and operational leadership for the execution of assigned SCIDaR programs. Your role will involve day-to-day management of program workflows and direct oversight of the Program team responsible for implementing program activities. You will be responsible for delivering all team deliverables and leading program-related interactions with primary clients and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will provide program status updates and support the Program Director in financial planning.
Technical Responsibilities - Program Management:
- Lead the execution of program activities and manage workflows of the assigned SCIDaR Program team.
- Monitor program risks, troubleshoot challenges, and implement creative solutions.
- Ensure close collaboration and coordination with partner organizations to ensure smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results.
- Serve as the primary contact point for donor program officers and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate technical problem-solving sessions with the primary client and stakeholders to address implementation challenges and make decisions to guide the program.
- Regularly monitor and review program activities to ensure quality, accountability, and contractual compliance with agreed deliverables and performance indicators.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly technical and financial reports in collaboration with the designated Finance Officer.
- Support individual team members in setting and tracking learning goals, provide on-the-job mentoring, and fill competency gaps.
- Coordinate the archiving of program documentation and oversee cleanup at the close of programs.
- Participate in organization-wide events to share critical insights from the program with other managers and directors.
Institutional Leadership Responsibilities:
- Contribute to organizational strategy, planning, budgeting, and general leadership as part of SCIDaR's Management Team.
- Lead the technical development of proposals, including data gathering, research, and writing technical components.
- Participate in the organization's professional development program, including onboarding, training sessions, and mentoring.
- Support Program Directors in project staffing and performance evaluation frameworks.
- Review and approve program team travel in line with SCIDaR's policies.
- Ensure appropriate use and maintenance of ICT infrastructure and support services by the program team.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in Sciences, International Development, Policy and Strategy Development, Public Administration, Health Management, or a related field. An MBA will be an added advantage.
- 6-8 years of progressive experience in strategy and systems strengthening in a reputable consulting firm or development organization.
